Careers and Guidance

Whatever direction students want to take post-18, Bohunt Sixth Form is able to support them with a rich programme of HE and career events.

A wide range of HE institutions and employers offering apprenticeships exhibit at our Progression Evening, during which students learn about all the post-18 options and are offered support on university living and student finance.

Ongoing throughout the year are skills workshops, guest speakers and a tutor programme of career planning in which students are encouraged to think deeply about where their subject choices, strengths and interests could take them, and to consider the changing labour market in their choices.

Students are kept informed of work experience, insight days and other opportunities via regular emails and a monthly newsletter, and a wealth of online resources are available including the subscription site Unifrog which provides a summary of job-specific LMI easily accessible to this age group.
